A date

July 6th, 2010 Cake Posted in Darling Hubby Comments Off

DH took the day off. We went on a date without DD for the first time in 4 years. Thank goodness for long daycares/preschool! It was fun but also quite rushed, didn’t do much in that time frame except movie and lunch before we had to pick up our lil princess.

Nevertheless, any break is a good break.

Skype

November 30th, 2008 Cake Posted in Darling Hubby Comments Off

I have been using Skype to call land line phones for several years now. It is so cheap, my credit takes a really long time to run out since I mostly only call my mom in KL. Each top up is a minimum of AU16 and as long as you ensure that you make a land line call at least once every 180 days, the credit does not expire.

DH knows I have a Skype account. He even bought me the Skype headphone but now of course I am looking into a Skype handset. The weird thing is, he used our land line phone to call his parents in NZ and chalking up AU$10-15 phone bill per call rather than using my Skype account to call which could have only cost AU$1 at the max!  He did that several times despite my suggestions and reminders.

Not like I have not reminded him to use my Skype account. So what’s the problem there that he couldn’t use Skype???  Shouldn’t I be fuming?  You tell me!

DH’s unhealthy eating habits

November 20th, 2008 Cake Posted in Darling Hubby Comments Off

Although DH’s weight is consistent for the past 5 years, I can see his belly portruding. If he does not take care of his body, he will soon be mistaken as being three months pregnant just like how people think I am all the time *sigh*

He has no interest in any weight loss fad or diet pill which in my opinion, is wise.  He eats whatever he likes and you won’t want to know how many scoops of ice cream plus the amount of chocolate topping he has for after dinner dessert, gross! I know his daily lunch isn’t a healthy choice either, I often hear him tell me he had KFC, Maccas, Opportos, Pizza … oh my goodness! Though sometimes he does have Japanese, Chinese and Thai.

One thing I have noticed though is that he no longer drinks Coke like water for the past 6 months. He drinks plain water instead. I was and still is in shock at the drastic change.  Now I wonder when is he going to change his eating habits … because somehow though I hate to admit, it influenced me too :(

Yoghurt

August 9th, 2008 Cake Posted in Darling Hubby Comments Off

Yesterday morning, I saw DH’s tub of yoghurt on the kitchen sink (where we place the washed plates, etc). DH must have forgotten to put it back in the refrigerator last night. So I placed it back in the fridge right away.

When DH woke up, I told him that he forgot to put the yoghurt back into the fridge last night. He said he finished it already and that he filled it up with water (as we usually wash the containers first before dumping them into the recycling bin). That’s why he left it at the sink.

Oh dear me, and I thought it had yoghurt in it; didn’t know it was water as it was covered nicely! He said “you didn’t put it back in the fridge did you?”

Hahaha, of course I did! Blur me!! We both laughed.

Love is …

August 6th, 2008 Cake Posted in Darling Hubby Comments Off

When your man takes the initiative and hurries to pick up a tiny bead or a needle you dropped onto the floor. Sometimes the little things that DH does makes me forgive all the big annoying things that he did.

Okay back to non lovey dovey topic – paid the dreadful AU$218 water bill. More bills to follow.

Let’s pluck hair

January 10th, 2008 Cake Posted in Darling Hubby No Comments »

Two nights ago DH told me he could not get to sleep as he had a headache. Guess what he suggested we do since he could not sleep at 11.30pm?

Help me pluck white hairs off my head with a tweezer. Funny guy indeed but of course I didn’t turn down that offer as it is impossible for me to pluck my own white hairs at the back of my head. That is also our definition of romance, you know :P

He does help me out with this every now and then. I help him too except that he hasn’t got much white hair to pluck off his head. Maybe 2-3 strands every 6 months. Afterall. he is younger than me, haha!
